Quasar Engineering Limited is a long established business with an excellent reputation for quality and service, offering the complete engine and cylinder head machining and re-manufacturing service, principally to the motor and allied trades. Our list of customers include many main dealers for both car and commercial vehicles, independent garages, fleet and plant operators as well as several other “engine re-conditioners”

Tecno Racing Engines is our racing department and we build engines for racing and rallying, fast road cars and track day specials. We carry out machining work for several high-performance / race engine builders and tuners, race teams and racing schools.

The fastest growing side of the business is the work we do for vehicle restorers and re-builders, ranging from veteran and vintage to sports cars and modern classics. Cylinder head unleaded conversions are especially popular with porting and polishing a very good way to improve performance in older vehicles. Race balancing contributes to an increase in power, smoothness, acceleration and longevity, even in engines solely for road use.

Cylinder head work on motorcycle engines is another area in which we are finding growth, with porting and polishing, the fitting and setting of high performance camshafts, overhauls and repairs to damaged heads for use in bikes and specialist cars.

We have a local delivery service available for all major work and can arrange collection and delivery by carrier anywhere in the country. We are full members of the Federation of Engine Re-Manufactures (F.E.R) If there is anyway we can help with advice on technical problems or you would like to discuss your requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us.
